Team History
The Asia Racing Team, Ltd. (ART Motorsports) is a company duly
registered in China and in Macau with assets amounting to more than
RMB 10 Million. Its main operational headquarters is located within
the Zhuhai International Circuit complex, in Southern China, where
it houses its fleet of ten (10) Formula Renault 2.0 cars and Asia’s
one-and-only 2-seater Formula Renault.
Founded in November 2003 ART’s business operation includes a
competitive Asian series racing team, the organization of a racing
school, corporate track days and promotional events.
Asia Racing Team (ART) Motorsports achievements list includes Macau
Grand Prix Formula Renault 2.0 Race, Asia Formula Renault 2.0
Challenge Teams title and three Asia Formula Renault 2.0 Challenge
Runner up championships. ART was honoured by prestigious Toyota
Drivers Academy (TDA) as official Formula Renault Team for Asia
during three years. The first-class work was recognized everywhere
and ART was also invited to engender selected rounds partnering F3
Euroseries former champions Prema PowerTeam. ART “Hall of Fame” includes F1 Driver Kazuki Nakajima (Williams), F1
test driver Kamui Kobayashi (Toyota) or 3000 Euroseries champion
Giacomo Ricci. The team tested and raced drivers from such different
nationalities as China, Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia, Japan,
Indonesia, France, Swiss, Angola, Pakistan, Canada, USA, Finland,
Italy, Portugal, Spain, Colombia, etc.
ART Motorsports likewise involves itself in driver development
through its regular test and development programs hosted for drivers
from all over the world.
Together with GP2 team DAMS S.A.S. and Pacific Rim Racing Limited,
Asia Racing Team (ART) Motorsport Ltd. is offering premier racing
experiences in the Formula BMW Pacific Series, and Formula BMW
scholarship training and testing services in Asia.
