Season 2010 is about to start…
Asia is witnessing extraordinary growth in the popularity of motorsport and for the first time AFR Championship will have their own Winter Series. Asia Racing Team (ART Motorsports) will defend its AFR Teams’ title with a three-car team in both series.
The mini-series known as the 2010 AFR Winter Series kicks off in the end of January with testing available to drivers considering a Winter Series and the regular series campaign. The first edition of Asian Formula Renault Winter Series involves two meetings of two races each, both held at the Zhuhai International Circuit, South China - the home of Asia Racing Team.
The AFR Championship calendar will once again include six race events and twelve races. The series will be part of Chinese Touring Car Championship and C1 Weekends in China and will be run as part of the Malaysian Super Series in October at Formula One Grand Prix circuit of Sepang. The last race of the season, to be confirmed, will be held at the inaugural Changsa Street Circuit in Hunan Province.
