阿波罗RFN赛车队 by Blackjack and 阿波罗RFN赛车队 by ART added more silverware to their 2025 campaign at the third round of the F4 Chinese Championship, held at the Zhuhai International Circuit. Andrei Dubynin stepped onto the overall podium twice, while Viktor Turkin secured four second-place finishes in the Master Class.
Ahead of the third round of the season, Allen Lu joined 阿波罗RFN赛车队 by ART, piloting the #28 Mygale M21-F4. The Chinese driver is a familiar face within the team, having previously raced with Blackjack Racing and Asia Racing Team in the 2023 Open Formula Challenge and the F4 South East Asia (F4 SEA) season finale at Sepang. He also contested selected rounds of last year’s F4 Chinese Championship in the F4 Gen 2 car.
On Saturday, Andrei Dubynin kicked off the weekend in style, claiming a hard-fought podium in challenging wet conditions. He delivered a determined drive to secure P3 in Race 1 and followed up with a strong P4 in Race 2 after starting from P8. After post-race checks, Dubynin was officially promoted to P3 overall, marking an excellent start to his campaign.
Rising talent Tiger Zhang, just 15 years old, showed impressive determination and skill throughout the opening races. Despite a tough P13 in Race 1, Zhang bounced back brilliantly in Race 2, gaining six positions to finish P7 – his best result yet in his single seater rookie season, underlining his promising potential.
In the Master Class, Viktor Turkin enjoyed a double podium, demonstrating both pace and consistency to take second place in both Saturday races.
Allen Lu continued to make steady progress with every session. Although an off-track spin ended his Race 1 early, he rebounded well to claim a respectable P7 in the second race of the China Formula Grand Prix (CFGP) category – a positive step in his return to competition.
Sunday’s programme featured two more races at China’s first permanent circuit, where both teams continued to show strong form and resilience.
Andrei Dubynin maintained his pace and consistency, finishing P5 in both races and later being promoted to P4 in the final classification after post-race technical checks.
It was a frustrating day for Tiger Zhang, who was forced to retire from both races. In the opening lap of Race 3, he was unfortunately hit by teammate Allen Lu at Turn 4, ending his charge early. In Race 4, a spin put him out of contention once again.
On the other side of the garage, Viktor Turkin remained a model of consistency, adding two more Master Class podiums to his tally with another pair of second places – rounding off a perfect run of four P2 finishes for the weekend.
For Allen Lu, the weekend was all about building seat time and experience. Despite a DNF in Sunday’s first race, he recovered well to finish P4 in the CFGP class in the final race – a rewarding result for his efforts.
Team Principal Jack Pang commented: “This weekend we faced a variety of challenges, both on and off the track, but I’m proud of the way the entire team and our drivers responded. Motorsport always tests your resilience and adaptability, and I believe everyone showed great spirit and determination in difficult track conditions. I hope all our drivers not only enjoyed the race weekend but also gained valuable experience that will help them continue to grow and come back even stronger for the next round. We’ll take the lessons learned here and use them to keep moving forward together as a team.”
The team now turns its attention to the next round at Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit on 12–14 September, carrying forward valuable data and strengthened motivation as the season progresses.
