Asia Racing Team is delighted to announce that Viktor Turkin will rejoin the team for the 2025 F4 Chinese Championship.
Viktor Turkin participated in the final round of the 2024 F4 Chinese Championship, making his debut in the Master Class at the Zhuhai International Circuit. It marked the first time the karting graduate had the opportunity to drive the modern and competitive Mygale M21-F4 car.
The 2025 season will be a valuable learning experience for Viktor, as, alongside his development curve, many of the circuits on the calendar are new to him. While the local competition may have the advantage of familiarity with these tracks, this presents the former Russian karting class winner with an excellent opportunity to rise to the challenge and accelerate his learning.
Viktor Turkin said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Asia Racing Team for the entire F4 Chinese Championship season. After having the chance to drive for them in the last race of the previous season, I found the car and the championship spirit fantastic. I’m determined to push myself and look forward to making progress with each race, all while benefiting from the expertise of the team’s experienced engineers. We have clear goals ahead, and I will fight for the championship in the Masters category. Coming from karting, where I became the Russian Champion in 2022 in the Masters standings in the KZ2 class, I know what it takes to win, and I will give everything to achieve similar success here in F4.”
Commenting about the season ahead, Jack Pang, Team Principal of Blackjack Racing and Asia Racing Team, added: “We are really happy to welcome back Viktor to our F4 Chinese Championship team. The enthusiasm and positive approach he showed last year in Zhuhai make us confident that we will see him move up the ranks in the Master class.”
Rodolfo Avila, Team Manager of Blackjack Racing and Asia Racing Team, said: “We witnessed Viktor’s development, from the open practice sessions in Zhuhai to racing in F4, which makes us incredibly proud. We know he still has significant room for improvement, and we will be working closely with him to maximise his potential during the upcoming season.”
The 2025 F4 Chinese Championship consists of five events, with the opening round scheduled for 22-23 March at the Shanghai International Circuit, where it will support the Chinese F1 Grand Prix. The championship returns to the same venue for a second round on 16-18 May. The only national single-seater series in China then heads to Ningbo Speedpark International on 14-15 June before the summer break. The series resumes on 12-15 September at the newly inaugurated Chengdu Tianfu International Circuit. The season finale is set for 17-19 November, with the venue either being the Zhuhai International Circuit or Wuhan International Circuit.
With the exception of the opening round, which features only two races, each F4 Chinese Championship race weekend consists of four races.
