Asia Racing Team is delighted to announce that Viktor Turkin will rejoin the team for the final two rounds of the 2026 F4 Chinese Championship season at Hunan International Circuit and Zhuhai International Circuit.
Former karting driver Turkin made his F4 debut with Asia Racing Team at the 2024 F4 Chinese Championship season finale at Zhuhai International Circuit, before racing for the team again throughout the full 2025 campaign at the wheel of the Ligier JS F422, finishing third in the Master Class championship standings.
Master Class race winner Turkin now returns to race at Hunan International Circuit, formerly known as Zhuzhou International Circuit, a track that is new to him; though this has done little to dent his confidence. He had the chance to get back behind the wheel of the French-built car during a private test at Zhuhai with the team.
“I did have a long break from F4, but I’ve been racing in other championships during that time,” says the Russian driver. “I’ve also had a chance to take a look at the Zhuzhou track, and yes, it’s definitely not an easy one, especially with some tricky elevation changes. Either way, together with the team, we’ll be setting our goals: fighting for the top positions in the Master category, and of course, we need to make it into the points-paying positions!”
He added: “Another positive is that we’re adding a new track to our experience and racing against new drivers we haven’t competed against before. Either way, we’re going to gain some valuable experience, and hopefully that will help us go even faster at Zhuhai.”
Team Manager Rodolfo Avila said: “It’s good to have Viktor back with the team, following his 2024 debut and full 2025 campaign with us. He’s a quick and committed gentleman driver, and we hope he can find his rhythm again and fight for Master Class podium positions in both races.”
Turkin will line up alongside race winners Timur Shagaliev and Josh Feng, as well as podium finisher Zhuyuan Chen, on a four-car entry under the Asia Racing Team RFN and Blackjack Racing RFN banner.
The F4 Chinese Championship race weekend at Hunan gets under way on Friday with two qualifying sessions, followed by two 30-minute races on Saturday and a further two on Sunday.
